Exercise is not an option, it is necessary. The excuse of not having time for exercise is just like saying you do not have time to sleep or eat.
Having a time for a certain activity is just a matter of mind setting. You have, time to sleep and eat because it was inculcated in your mind that it is necessary for you to do it. Not only that, people always find time to do things they want. Just do the same thing with exercise, think it as a “need” like sleeping and eating and your “want” for you to enjoy the said activity. Exercise is important to your health.
The first thing to do is to be sure you can start, a “will” to start. Second, is to know your physical limitations. You must know if there is any heart disease or illness before starting any exercise activity, check with your doctor about your health condition and what type or types of exercise will suit you.
Exercise does not have to take much of your time. Instead of elevator why not use the stairs? However, just don’t push yourself too much that you have to use stairs all the way going to the tenth or more floors if your heart can’t withstand it. Climbing 2-5 floors will do that much to you. It will improve your heart and lung capacity. And, why not park your car in the farthest parking place instead of the closest, for you to walk even just for few minutes? Remember, exercise even as simple as walking can awaken your endorphins, the happy hormone, making you feel happy and invigorated. When you arrive home, instead of watching TV or playing PSP with your kids as sort of bonding, why not play basketball or any other outdoor activities?
Make exercise a fun part of your daily schedule, and you can always find time for it. Remember, exercise is not an option, it is a necessity.
