Eba, also known as garri, is one of the most loved foods for Africans and Nigerians.
Garri is actually made from cassava, which is processed and made into the finished product known as eba.
Now for most people who want to lose weight, i usually tell them to stay away from Eba. the reason is this:
Eba is made practically from cassava. The nutritional composition of garri is in this form:
For each wrap of Eba you eat:
Carbohydrate: 71 grams which is about 284 calories
Proteins: 0.9 grams which is about 3.6 calories
Fat: 0.4grams which is about 3.6 calories
Total calories:291 calories approximately.
now most times, we don't just eat just one wrap. its usually a minimum of 2. Then by the time you add the calories from the soup and the meat and chicken etc.
Besides, remember that carbohydrates are not fat burning foods, so its so much easier to store excess carbs in your body.
